Amanda & Troy contacted us recently. Their brief was this:
"We would like an invitation that conjures an invitation from a child to their imaginary future wedding, whilst not making the invite itself tacky, or giving the impression that we are not taking the wedding seriously"
They already had some design elements - a child's drawing and a handwritten quotation - that they wanted to include, and they quite liked the layout of our Bond Street design. Amanda was keen to make a feature of the childish element, whilst Troy preferred a more serious, traditional style of invitation. We wanted to make them both happy!
Quite a few emails, a couple of phone calls and much head scratching later, we came up with a design that we were all pleased with . . .
A pocket invitation that initially looks quite fun and childlike, but once the outer band wrap is removed a classic and elegant invitation is revealed beneath.
This is the last email that Amanda sent once she'd received the finished invites.
Hi Jo,
I got the invites on Friday. Thank you very much, they are absolutely perfect and we both love them.
I still cant believe how well you managed to translate our cryptic request into something that made both of us happy especially given Troy and I had such a different idea of what we wanted. You gave me some of my best ideas!
Please feel free to pass on my details should anyone want a reference for the fantastic work you perform.
Kind regards
Amanda
